| Plot |
| Joe and Cheryl Hickey (Kevin Bacon and Courtney Love) have plotted the perfect kidnapping of Abigail Jennings (Dakota Fanning), a young girl with wealthy parents. While her father, William (Stuart Townsend) is away on business, Abigail is kidnapped. After successfully nabbing Abigail, Joe enters the Jennings' home and holds the mother, Karen (Charlize Theron), hostage to ensure the ransom is paid. Plans run a muck, when they discover Abigail is asthmatic and they are not prepared for her medical problems. Karen is also more trouble then anticipated and she keeps Joe on his toes as she fights to save her child. Joe and Cheryl soon figure out their perfect kidnapping is far from perfect. |
