| In a Virginia gun store, owner Carl (Donald Sutherland) employs his granddaughter Mary Ann (Linda Cardellini), a college student who spends some time in the family business, in the shop. Despite her doubts, she is slowly attracted by the weapons that she trades. In Oregon, Janet (Marcia Gay Harden) a single mother, worries for her younger son David (Christopher Marquette) who is now the same age his brother was, when he committed some dreadful acts. While dealing with his own fury and anguish, he silently likes Tally (Nikki Reed). In Chicago, Principal Carl (Forest Whitaker) is trying hard to save his inner-city high school from annihilation. His wife Sara (Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon) greatly apprehends about the security of their young son. When top student Jay (Arlen Escarpeta) is caught with a gun, both the principal and the student find themselves facing tough and uneasy decisions. |
