| Plot |
| “Mean Machine” sees an England Football Captain, Danny ‘Mean Machine’ Meehan (Vinnie Jones) disgraced and thrown in jail for the physical assault of two police officers. As he spends more time in jail, Danny quickly learns that his outside celebrity status doesn’t earn him any special favors. He is constantly barraged; insulted and even assaulted by fellow inmates who are angry over the fact Danny let his country down in a crucial World Cup game. In time Danny earns the respect of his fellow inmates by taking every bit of punishment they give and in time he even changes their lives. When a chance comes where the prisoners can put one over the corrupt guards who run the jail, Danny steps up and leads his new ‘team’ to victory. |
