| Plot |
| Based loosely on a true story, this movie tells the tale of an FBI agent (Alec Baldwin) down on his luck and banished to Providence, Rhode Island which is not a hub of Federal crime. Wanting to redeem himself Agent Devine concocts a plan to snare Mob boss Tommy Sanz (Tony Shalhoub). Devine decides to trick Sanz into investing in a movie, “Arizona.” Meanwhile, movie producer Steven Schats (Matthew Broderick) can hardly believe his good luck. Finally, someone believes in him and his movie. He can hardly wait to see his ‘baby’ come to fruition. Devine knows that Sanz has illegal ties to the local Teamsters and sets about trying to catch Sanz in a bribery scandal. Hoping to prove himself to his superiors, Devine will stop at nothing to catch the mobster and win his way out of Rhode Island. |
