| Plot |
| Noah (Chris O’Neil) and Emma Wilder (Rhiannon Leigh Wryn) find a strange box that washes ashore at their summer beach house. Inside are strange crystals that only they can see, and an old, sewn-together rabbit. Both take different items (Noah the crystals, and Emma the rabbit) and begin having strange experiences. Noah becomes extremely smart, teaching spiders how to weave a “bridge” through sound. Emma can create a portal using spinning stones and hears her rabbit, which is named Mimzy, talking to her. Their parents, David (Timothy Hutton) and Jo (Joely Richardson), eventually find out as strange occurrences occur. Noah’s science teacher Larry White (Rainn Wilson) also suspects something after seeing some of Noah’s drawings. The government gets involved after a major blackout drains Seattle of power and they think it is a terrorist attack. A team led by Nathanial Broadman (Michael Clark Duncan) arrests the family. But Noah and Emma escape after the stuffed rabbit is discovered to be a type of robot. It needs their help to save the future, and they return to their beach house following its directions. Emma and Noah must work together to save the future and Mimzy. |
