| Plot |
| In this second take on a science fiction novel by Stanislav Lem, George Clooney plays Chris Kelvin. Chris Kelvin is a troubled psychologist sent in to space to the station Solaris to help investigate the goings on of the crew there. Once he arrives there he finds that the crew members have been experiencing strange psychological trauma, including memories of loved ones coming to life and acting as though they are the loved one. Kelvin has recently lost his wife Rheya (Natascha Mcelhone), and when he begins to see her and interact with her on the station it becomes difficult for him to do his job as psychologist. In the end Chris Kelvin must decide whether he must accept the real or the created events that are taking place on the space station Solaris. |
