| It is five years after goofy jungle king George (Christopher Showerman) married Ursula (Julie Benz) and took her back to his beloved jungle. They now have a son, George Jr. (Angus T. Jones) and poor George now has to balance being the well-meaning but klutzy King of the Jungle with his more mundane roles as “just daddy” and “honey-do” in his home. He has mother-in-law problems as well, since Beatrice Stanhope (Christina Pickles) has never approved of the marriage and plots to rescue daughter and grandson from what she sees as a dreadful place, handing his cherished home over to developers who will raze it to the ground as part of her scheme. And the jungle is indeed more dangerous, with the arrival of Mean Lion (Michael Clark Duncan), who challenges George’s jungle leadership and threatens the peace for all the creatures. Beatrice has Ursula hypnotized and she leaves George to go to Las Vegas. George and his faithful companion Ape (John Cleese) and others follow to see if she really wants to leave the jungle, but George is caught between the problems of regaining his family and saving his jungle and the “family” he has there as well. |
