| Plot |
| A dark comedy, the Ice Harvest centers around mob lawyer Charlie Arglist (John Cusack) and his attempt to embezzle millions from his boss, Kansas City boss Bill Guerrard (Randy Quaid). Charlie partners up with his sleazy friend Vic Cavanaugh (Billy Bob Thornton) for the holiday heist, but soon finds that everything seems to be working against him. Night falls, an ice storm rages, and Charlie's partner seems to be getting a little strange. Even worse, the beautiful Renata (Connie Nielsen) has Charlie's head spinning and his old friend Pete (Oliver Platt) seems dead set on letting the cat out of the bag. Will Charlie make it out of Witchita with the money or will boss Bill put him on ice? |
