| Plot |
| Touching story about an umpire, Ray Cooke (Nick Nolte), and teen baseball pitcher, Dave Tibbel (Trevor Morgan). These two men develop an understanding and caring relationship after getting off to a rocky start. Dave damages Ray's car and vandalizes his yard after a bad call at a baseball game. In order to make up for his wrongdoings without involving the police, Ray tells Dave that he must accompany him to his 40th high school reunion, posing as his son, Pat. Through their developing relationship, Dave comes to know the man a way a son should know his father and Ray gets to enjoy the company of a long lost son. |
