| Plot |
| Barbara Baekeland (Julianne Moore) influences the rest of her family, including Brooks (Stephen Dillane) and Tony (Barney Clark, Eddie Redmayne). The family is very wealthy because they have made money off of the invention called Bakelite and are arrogant; they also love acting. Barbara used to be an actress and model. The family members end up causing ruination for one another and they cause many problems and tragedies for themselves. They share lovers, as well as beds and baths. Also, the father travels, while the mother remains isolated and the son has to deal with the abnormal relationships within his family. |
