| Plot |
| “Last Tango in Paris” sees an American expatriate named Paul (Marlon Brando) a crossroads in life after his wife’s death. Now he’s in Paris apartment hunting and meets Jeanne (Maria Schneider) and unknown woman across a bedroom window. The next thing Paul knows is he’s in a heated sexual encounter with a complete stranger and thus the tango begins. The two of them meet in the afternoons, no names ever given for wild sex and degrade her in every possible way until that degradation turns to true love. Paul eventually proposes to her, offering her a chance to turn his brutality into a gentle marriage. |
